The breathable sleep surface is easily replaced by fitting the surface over the bars when in the upright position, zipping the surface closed on the underside and then securely fastening the sidebars into their lowered position with the automatic locking mechanism.

Can I use a crib bumper with the Heaven Sent Crib Mattress?The Heaven Sent Crib Mattress sleep surface has an integrated welt designed to prevent your baby’s extremities from entanglement in the crib bars. However, if a conventional crib bumper is to be used, we recommend using a breathable one. Where do dispelled liquids go? There is a polypropylene plastic bottom 5 inches below the sleep surface. This surface is easily wiped cleaned and disinfected with a mild soap and cloth. This area is very easily accessible by simply lifting the bars the sleep surface is around.

Does the polypropylene plastic have any out gassing? No.The plastic bottom is actually made from recycled milk jugs.  It is a polypropylene #5 which is the same plastic used for children’s toothbrushes.
